Please Note : I did NOT Make This

The reason this does not work is because the images have harsh, sharp edges, not visually appealing. Also, the way the pictures move around the screen, and the effects applied to them while doing so, seem like very basic filters, which limits the creativity in my mind.

The credits I will complete for the movie will be a similar concept, but a cleaner, sharper execution.

Final iTunes Ad for "Music of the Nineties"

I rearranged the type to make it more organized. The headline moved to the top to help with that. It's an easier read, from top to bottom, big to small.

New Movie Title Sequence : Marie Antoinette

You tube does not have the existing opening title sequence with audio, but at least you can see what it looks like here.

iTunes Ad for "Music of the Nineties"

I'm having trouble deciding which one to go with. I'll sleep on it I guess. Either way though, the concept stays strong, and the product gets advertised, right?

Final Animated Type : Madea Vs. Ho

Concept for CD Ads

For the full page magazine ad for the cd, my idea is to focus on one object that was famous in the 90's, and show it listening to music through headphones. In theory, there will be a series of about 4 or 5 ads, but I will probably only make one. Mike and Zach helped me think of some great objects power rangers, furby, tamagotchi.  These are just rough, digital sketched of the ads. The final ad will be a photograph of the object, not these little illustrations.

Movie Title

I would like to open with the same exact audio. While the audio was playing, I want to show newspaper clippings, photogrpahs, and other records of Hannibal Lecter. The whol movie is about 3 main parties looking for Dr. Lecter; Clarice with the FBI, Clarice personally, and the deformed man, I forgot his name. Having said that, the newspaper clippings, record, etc. would be what Clarice or the defomed guy have as records/tracking of Dr. Lecter.

Behold, The Scanner

I've never used a scanner so much for one project, and I've never scanned such odd things, but it was successful.

I scanned my fist for the front cover:

I scanned my face for the inside panel (left):

I scanned crumbs off the counter to get the texture on all the pages...

...now my scanner has dirty crumbs, hand prints (fist prints i guess) and face prints...well...nose print...

Thank you brother.

Progress Report: Animated Type

1.) I worry that the movements are too fast to follow, I suppose I will need some opinions from first time viewers.

2.) In the first part, Stan and I had talked about putting in giant punctuation marks. In the part where they ask each other, "Who are you?"

I'm enjoying After Effects, although it's a bit harder to use on my small 11" screen. The thursday deadline is making me a bit nervous. I know I can do it, but with all the other things due this week, I will have to manage my time very well. This program at GA State is so kick ass, and I am so lucky to be a part of it, but man they know how to keep us busy. Good thing I love what I do.

Finished CD Package...

I finished up with my cd mock up for the grunge soundtrack of the nineties. I decided to change the front cover page from "90's" to "nineties". The word allowed more type to be manipulated, and that was a big part of the Carson inspired design for the package. The music itself was inspiration as well, but mainly for what the photographs contained.
